About Marquette Exploration

Marquette Exploration, LLC, founded in 2006 in partnership with ENCAP Investments L.P., is engaged in the exploration, delineation and exploitation of unconventional natural gas resource plays in the continental U.S. Our management team has an established history of working together in identifying and executing successful exploration and development projects. Our equity partner has an 18 year history of financing successful oil and gas exploration, development, and acquisition opportunities, and has the ability to deploy financial resources on almost any scale in order to maximize the value of our assets.

Marquette’s exploration strategy is to identify unconventional resource targets and to then capture large acreage positions within these plays. We have the technical expertise, the project management skills, and the financial resources required to maximize the value of our assets. Our management team also has a proven track record of successful acquisitions and will seek to exploit those opportunities that complement our exploration programs.

Marquette Exploration takes its name from Father Jacque Marquette, the early Jesuit missionary explorer and discoverer of the Mississippi River.
